This is my most favorite recipe for sugar cookies, I have never used another one, EVER. I have tweaked this cookie recipe a little so I’ve made it my own, but comes from an old cook book from 1996 I keep kicking around cause it has alot of my favorites.
I learned to cook out of this cookbook so it’s pretty special to me, I think it might of been a shower gift. 1996 was the year I was married, the pages are stained, half torn and very well used – I think that’s the best kind of recipe book! In a digital world, it’s still fun to pull out something with so many memories.
Keep this recipe close, I am using today for some fun Halloween cookies for my grown daughters to decorate (they still love to do that at age 18 & 21) but it will also come in very handy for all the Christmas baking that is just around the corner friends!
